What visa do I need to visit Singapore?

Singapore actually offers visa-free entry for citizens of many countries, this means you do not need any visa to enter. There are 2 groups of countries that can stay from 30 to 90 days.

Here are the countries that can stay in Singapore for 30 days:

  • ASEAN Countries

  • Japan

  • Taiwan

  • Hong Kong

  • UAE

Here are the countries that can stay in Singapore for 90 days:

  • EU Countries

  • South Korea

  • Norway

  • Switzerland

  • USA

  • Canada

  • Australia

  • New Zealand

  • UK

If you are not in either of these 2 groups, you will have to apply for a visa.

How to apply for a visa (14A Visa)?

If your country was not on either of the lists, don’t worry, here is a quick step-by-step on what documents you need for a visa, and how to apply for a visa:

What documents do I need?

  • Passport (valid for at least 6 months)

  • Recent passport-sized photograph

  • Flight itinerary and proof of accommodation

  • Proof of sufficient funds (bank statements)

  • Visa Application for 14A

How to apply for a visa?

  1. Apply online via the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) or at a Singaporean Embassy

  2. Submit all the documents mentioned above

  3. Pay the visa fee

  4. Wait around 1-2 weeks for processing

  5. Recieve your e-VISA! (if you are approved)
